Old Hollywood glamour made a return on the red carpet, and everyone from Jessica Chastain to Julia Roberts to Amal Clooney aced the look.

Old-world Hollywood glamour has made a return at this year’s Cannes Film Festival red carpet, with a bevy of divas making an entrance in flowy gowns and cascading curls.

From off-shoulder and sweetheart necklines to the choice of neckpieces and bold, dark shades of lipstick — the charm of the ’60s was evident. And the Hollywood ladies aced the vintage look effortlessly. Here are some that stood out.

Amal Clooney

Walking hand-in-hand with hubby, actor George Clooney, the British-Lebanese lawyer donned an Atelier Versace gown, and classic cascading curls. The one-shouldered number featured a ruched bodice and a long train that gave a dramatic view as the breeze billowed her gown.

Julia Roberts

The actor made quite a fashion statement by walking the red carpet barefoot in this beautiful, off-shouldered Armani Prive gown. She was among the best dressed on the Cannes red carpet.

Jessica Chastain

The actor made sure that all eyes were on her in this sunshine yellow Armani Prive gown. The strapless gown, featuring a sweetheart neckline, accentuated her figure and she looked stunning.

Naomi Watts

The Hollywood actor’s wind-swept short tresses complemented her Armani Prive strapless gown and the lilac colour looked wonderful on her skin tone. She also incorporated her look from the late 70s.

Blake Lively

The mother-to-be wore a cut-out gown by Atelier Versace. The American actor’s blonde locks did the rest of the magic and she conquered the place with her charisma and style nuggets.
