India Couture Week 2018: Kareena Kapoor Khan was the showstopper for Falguni and Shane Peacock. She walked the runway in a shimmering gold lehenga.

Kareena Kapoor Khan was the gorgeous golden star of Day 2 at the India Couture Week in New Delhi. The actor shined bright in a shimmery lehenga as she walked the ramp for designer duo Falguni and Shane Peacock on Thursday.

When asked about her impeccable sense of style and if she loves to dress up her son Taimur as well, Kareena had a super cute reply. “Taimur is already the biggest superstar so he’ll be soon training me on how to dress,” she said during a session with the press after the show.

Watch Kareena Kapoor Khan walk the ramp for Falguni Shane Peacock:

Falguni and Shane dressed Kareena in a stunning golden lehenga for the big night. The top was heavily embellished while the lehenga had intricate, shimmery patterns all over and a very voluminous look. The feathery drape, which Kareena carried with the utmost sophistication, rested pretty on her right shoulder.

Kareena has been regularly walking the ramp for the last 10 years but she confesses that she still gets nervous before a show. “I still feel like a newcomer every time I take the ramp. It’s completely different from facing the camera... I am a born actress but I am not a born model,” she said. “When all the models were walking in front of me... apart from being so tall and really gorgeous, I think I just realised that ‘yeah, ok this is so tough and I am so nervous,” Kareena added.

The actor revealed that the outfit she was wearing weighed 30 kgs and that she would not have worn it for anyone other than Falguni and Shane. “I have walked the ramp for nearly a decade or more but this is this the first time I am wearing an outfit that weighs 30 kgs and if it was not for Shane and Falguni Peacock, I don’t think I would have done this for anyone else,” Kareena said. “But I know it is really very tough when you wear these heavy outfits but I am looking beautiful and the crowd is happy,” she said with a confidence that reminded us so much of Poo from Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham.

Even with all that confidence, Kareena revealed that the ramp is the only thing that makes her nervous. When asked about what she feels before walking the ramp she said, “I am like, really very nervous. No one believes me when I say that because I come across as a really confident girl. But actually, the ramp is the only thing that makes me nervous in life.”

Falguni and Shane’s collection drew inspiration from the palaces and culture of Rajasthan’s Junagarh and also marked their debut at the India Couture Week, a five-day fashion extravaganza, presented by Hindustan Times and Sunil Sethi Design Alliance. The beautiful collection featured soft shades like smokey greys, silt greens, champagne pinks and more with crystal work on structured lehengas.
