Decide where to store the clothes: Make sure that the area doesn’t get too cold or too hot; in other words, that it is climate-controlled. The area should be clean and most importantly, it should be dry.
Wash your clothes one last time: It’s important to wash clothes before you put them away as soils on fabric can leave a stain
Choose the container wisely: Folding you coats and sweaters and storing them neatly is a wise solution, and it also saves space. Never wrap your clothes in plastic unless it is a vacuum-sealed plastic or a nylon container.
Allow your clothes to breathe: Always put the heavier items at the bottom and the lighter ones at the top to allow for airflow.
Use vacuum-sealed storage bags: These compress your clothes, making it easier to store them.
