Let’s phool around!

Florals never seem to go out of fashion. Now, get drenched head-to-toe with petal power.

Even though multi-hued spring is ready to take a bow and give way to a cropped blazers and boot-high winter, there’s one trend we are not ready to let go of.

Florals have for long been a part of our style, with shades of vintage and the fragrant nostalgia of the 1960's and 70s, and we have now signed up for all-out flower-treatment.

Stars who we look up to for their fashion sense (and their ability to flaunt designer labels we can only dream of!) are not giving up on these beauties of nature either. But instead of the usual panel here and a collar there, it's head-to-toe florals that seem to work for these stylish ladies.

An all-out petal shower might not be everyone's cup of tea, but a sense of royal splendour is what these looks invoke. Reminiscent of Mughal architectural motifs and miniature paintings, the influence of nature in the head-to-toe-floral look, lends it a throne-heavy dose of royalty.

Our pick? Being immersed in sweet damask roses, gold leaf floral appliques and romantic lace lily cut-outs— and fearlessly, from top to bottom. So, here’s to some fierce flower fun!

Vintage valour
In an opulently printed anarkali suit by designer Anamika Khanna, Kareena Kapoor looked equal parts of vintage-glamourous and an image of regality. The look might catch you by surprise, because there’s a lot to take in at first glance, so tread with caution when you are planning to don a similar look. A safer bet would be skipping the print on the dupatta and going for a creamy white sheer, lightweight chunni.

Royal treatment
Sonam Kapoor undoubtedly sits on the style reign in Bollywood. Unlike Bebo, Sonam goes for a relaxed neckline which gives the needed break from the florals. What we adore about the look is the way it is styled. From ditching high heels for flats to going for an updo which is not-too-fierce for the outfit, Sonam even pulls off the floral-embroidered dupatta with the way she carries it. She did run the risk of looking beyond her age, but she combats it well.

Ramp florals
As designers continue to endorse all things floral, we don’t shy away with our love for them. From Sabyasachi’s couture offering that shows perfectly how even men can look like royalty in florals, Varun Bahl’s delicious pink roses to Anamika Khanna’s victorian-meets-vintage melange of flowers embedded exquisitely in her outfits — the ramp is also strewn with the fragrant offings of nature.

High street serenades
If you also prefer high-street over high-end luxe, Pee Cee tells you how to wear all-over florals. Of course, her toned legs and torso can rock almost everything, but the styling makes all the difference. When going for floral denims, make sure they are cropped; high-waist is not a must. Keep accessories to the minimum, and don’t mix prints.
