Clara International, a Malaysia based beauty academy has tied up with Jalandhar-based Beauty and Slimming Centre for opening a chain of beauty academies in north Indian states of Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttaranchal and Chandigarh.

"Clara International has a network in 20 countries including US, Switzerland, Mauritius and Hong Kong and is all set to dominate the Rs 3,000 crore Indian beauty industry by introducing jobs oriented short and long term beauty courses in this part of the region" Anil Goyal, Managing Director, Clara India Ltd said here today.

Keeping in view demand of trained beauticians in India and abroad these academies will generate more job opportunities for the youth as 85 per-cent of the Indian beauty industry still falls under unorganised sector for want of trained human resource, he added.
