“With modern brides wearing outfits that show off their arms, shoulders and upper back, the focus of mehendi has shifted to these areas. They are also opting for stick-on mehendi which is far less messy and saves time,” says mehendi expert Kanchan Mehra. “I’m opting for stick-on henna on my upper arms and back, with patterns complimenting my choli,” says soon-to-be bride, Supriya Kapoor. City girls are also colour matching mehendi with bridal attire.

“Brides are matching the shade of henna with their outfit and using swarovski studs to add to their D-day look,” says Aashmeen Munjal, makeup expert.
