With a joint finale by Nandita Basu and Varun Sardana, the latter having the dubious reputation of making his guests wait for an hour and a half last season while he stripped the runway clean, the day had great promise. Kolkata-based designer duo Dev R Nil made their runway comeback, and their WIFW debut. They are among many designers who’ve jumped ship from LFW, the platform that discovered them.
