Sonam Kapoor and those close to her have remained mum on her wedding dress. But while we wait to see the beautiful actor’s bridal ensemble on her May 8 wedding with Anand Ahuja, here’s everything we know about what she might wear to her reception.

With actor Sonam Kapoor and boyfriend Anand Ahuja’s wedding mere days away, rumours on who will design the bride’s wedding dress has hit fever pitch. Since their wedding date (May 8) was announced, predictions on who will create the coveted ensemble have been hitting social media left, right and centre.

Although we are already struggling to keep up to date with the many predictions (including one that Sonam’s friend, ace designer Anamika Khanna, has been given the task to create the National Film Award winner’s big day look), rumours continue to circulate around the bride-to-be’s chosen couturier for her wedding reception outfit.

Word is that famous British brand Ralph and Russo, who are also rumoured to be designing actor Meghan Markle’s royal wedding dress, have created Sonam’s outfit for her upcoming reception.

If the rumours are true, we could expect a spectacular gown or lehenga on Sonam’s reception night, as the design duo are famous for their show-stopping, intricate, often heavily embellished and head-turning looks. Of course, the fashion house famously created Sonam’s stunning bridal look with breathtaking details in a recent magazine cover shoot, so they certainly cater to her personal style.

Who can forget the modern-day princess bridal gown Sonam modelled for Ralph and Russo from their haute couture collection at Paris Fashion Week in July 2017? Just look at her. The diamond-embellished ivory fitted, full-sleeved gown was a sight to behold, featuring a dramatic train, sparkly headgear and a matching heavy choker. Keep staring at her guys. That dress simply keeps on giving.

Exactly one year ago, the Neerja star wore four of Ralph and Russo’s glamourous custom designs on the Cannes 2016 red carpet.

And at the 68th Cannes festival in 2015, Sonam went with an off-the-shoulder cobalt blue evening gown with draped waist detail from the designer’s spring 2014 collection.

So, come special occasions, Sonam turns to Ralph and Russo for their dazzling red carpet-worthy style. Time to give up the guessing game about her reception dress, then?
