1 Iphone’s health accessories: With this new gadget, the doctor was literally a phone call away. Users could get medical tips, eyes examined and X-rays done in a matter of minutes.

2 Salsa, Belly dancing and Bhangra exercises: Leading fitness institutions in the city held fun-filled dancing classes — Salsa, Belly dancing and Bhangra — as a form of fitness training, encouraging more people to work out.
3 Tattoos: It was the year of absurd tattooing. From teeth to tail bones, youngsters experimented with all possible locations for a tattoo. HT City reported that tooth tattoos had become a rage in the city, while young girls got designs made to draw attention to their cleavage.
4 Cosmetic surgeries: Cosmetic surgeries were no more about a nose-job or a boob-job. In 2009, Delhiites got the strangest surgeries done — from dimple creations and hymen reconstruction to pectoral implants and butt enhancements. Some men even had surgery to enhance the ‘male-cleavage’.
5 Eight-pack abs: Bollywood stars like Sanjay Dutt and Shahid Kapur boasted about getting eight-pack-abs and caused a frenzy among fitness freaks to do the same. However, fitness experts debunked the claim, stating that eight-pack abs were physically impossible.
