Pros: The packaging is extremely attractive and chances are you’ll be tempted to pick it up just because it looks like a blueberry sorbet. On the first trial, it does have a slight tingling sensation, which spreads over the skin, cooling it down. Within a minute, it’s completely absorbed, and the skin feels moisturised without any obvious residue. It also lasts for a long time, managing to withstand long hours spent inside airconditioned rooms.

Cons: The product claims to banish that shiny look that oily skin naturally develops, but it’s no match for Mumbai’s climate. In less than an hour, the unwanted shine returns.

Verdict: Unlike many other moisturisers, this gel doesn’t add to the greasepan look, but won’t protect you from it either.
