Designer Vikram Phadnis brought the curtains down to the Delhi leg of the 6th edition of the Seagram’s Blenders Pride Fashion Tour on Sunday night with his vivid coloured collection.
With "no particular theme" in order, Phadnis displayed a collection of ornate
embellished with intricate embroidery in contemporary style.
The line was immersed in colours such as green, mustard, blue with a mix of antique gold and silver.
Others to have preceded him in the evening were Gunjan and Rahul, Asmita Marwah, and Mandira Wirk.
While Phadnis and Marwah didn’t call for any showstoppers, the duo of Gunjan and Rahul draped TV actress Shilpa Agnihotri in a cyan coloured blue border sari, to walk the ramp for them. Their collection was inspired from the metaphoric jewels.
Wirk on the other had model-turned-actress Malaika Arora Khan by her side - who sizzled the ramp in a red number by the designer. Her line was inspired by Jean Luc-Godard’s classic "Breathless".
Delhi was the third stop for the tour after Chandigarh and Hyderabad. It will now travel to Mumbai, Kolkata and Bangalore respectively.
