Constantine speaks his heart out
Stephen Constantine, still not sure whether he will continue as chief coach after Nov 17, is disappointed with the way things are moving.
Stephen Constantine, while still not yet sure whether he will continue as chief coach after India play their last World Cup qualifier against Oman on Nov 17, is disappointed with the way things are moving in Indian football.

"If you ask me whether this is going to be my last assignment, my answer is I don't know. Certain press reports say that I have been put on notice by the AIFF president, something I have not been informed about. I will go if I am asked to, but my contract is till June 2005. I will give this a thought only after that," Constantine said.
The chief coach is disappointed with the way the Indian camp for the preparatory tour of Kuwait started in the Capital on Wednesday. Only 14 of the 25 probables have reported so far and quite a few like Bhaichung Bhutia and Deepak Mondal of East Bengal have not been released by their club.
"Sometimes I do hope this is my last assignment," he said. "People are asking me about what action I should recommend against Bhutia, but there are 10 others who have not reported for the camp. What can I do if the clubs don't release the players even after AIFF informed them through the state associations?" he asked.
