Twenty star footballers from northern Europe have lent their names to an anti-racism campaign entitled "Show Racism the Red Card", the Norwegian sporting association Niso said on its website on Tuesday.
The footballers, both men and women and of varying ethnicity, appear on a poster together with the slogan: "It's only the colour of the shirt that counts".
Among the players featured are Norwegian striker Jon Carew, Swedish women's team veteran Hanna Ljungberg and her compatriot Kim Kaellstroem, as well as Finns Jari Litmanen and Sami Hyypia and Jon Dahl Tomasson of Denmark.
Primarily targetting youths, the poster will be distributed in schools and sports arenas in the Nordic region.
