A 77-year-old woman was strangled to death at her DLF Phase II residence in the wee hours of Sunday.
Police suspect the involvement of the house maid and her four accomplices — her husband and three labourers — in the incident.
“The five persons are absconding,” a police officer said.
The police have released sketches of the suspects and announced reward of Rs 25,000 on each.
Police suspect robbery to be the motive of the crime as some valuables were missing. The woman lived with her husband. “The elderly couple had hired a maid, who had called three other workers for white-wash work. All signs point to their involvement,” said Vikas Kaushik, a police officer.HTC
