Gurgaon to get 50 low-floor AC buses next month

The state transport department has added 50 low-floor air-conditioned CNG buses to its Gurgaon fleet, the official spokesperson said on Friday. The new buses will be put to service in August.

The state transport department has added 50 low-floor air-conditioned CNG buses to its Gurgaon fleet, the official spokesperson said on Friday.

The new buses will be put to service in August.

The first batch of 10 buses has arrived and will be pressed into service after the completion of formalities by next week.

Another batch of 10 buses will arrive by the first week of August, the transport department said. After the latest addition, a total of 160 buses will now ply on Gurgaon roads.

Out of these, 100 will be ordinary buses, 50 will be low-floor CNG buses and the remaining will be luxury buses manufactured by Mercedes Benz or Volvo.

The road transport department had announced plans to upgrade its fleet in Gurgaon with 10 Mercedes Benz or Volvo luxury buses in June this year.

At present, Haryana Roadways operates 110 buses on 15 routes in two shifts.
