Gurgaon district magistrate PC Meena has said that he has already taken undertakings from respective area officials that they will be held responsible for the illegal borewells dug in their areas.

“Digging of borewells without the permission of the authorities is a violation of the court order. Action would be taken against the responsible officials,” Meena said.

“The officials of the water cell department have already submitted affidavits owing the responsibility of illegal borewells in their areas,” Meena added.
