Union transport minister Nitin Gadkari promised to shift the toll plaza in 2014. Is there any progress on this front?

I am aware of the problems being faced by people due to congestion on the expressway. In 2014, Gadkari came to Gurgaon and promised to shift the toll. He needs time for shifting the toll plaza as it involves bilateral agreements and large investments by banks.

The Haryana government recently approached stakeholders, including industrialists. Do you plan to take up the matter with the government?

I have taken up the matter with the state government many times and have even written to the CM to expedite the project connecting Dwarka metro with Gurgaon. I was informed that the government has given permission to DMRC for a feasibility study, after which the roadmap of the project will be finalised.

Which projects have the potential to smoothen traffic in Gurgaon?

The alternative highway announced during the Happening Haryana Summit that will connect Sirhaul with Manesar will decongest the city. But my priority is getting the Kherki toll plaza shifted.
