Suzette & Co: Log in for fresh and healthy

If you are one of those who prefers a healthy meal, Suzette & Co is worth a try.

Suzette, French café and crêperie chain, recently launched its office delivery service called Suzette & Co, and we were sold by words like ‘healthy’ and ‘office’. We quickly logged into its website – suzetteandco.in and found that we were amongst the few lucky ones who could get a piece of this test drive. The food delivery service currently caters to office buildings like One Indiabulls Center and Indiabulls Finance Center, Peninsula Business Park and Peninsula Corporate Park in Lower Parel.

The website is clean and easy-to-use with well-labelled categories like salads, soups, sandwiches, wraps and desserts. Currently operational Monday-Friday, it offers the option of pre-ordering for those who like to plan their meals well in advance.

We picked the falafel wrap (mixed leaves, tomatoes, cucumbers, gluten-free falafel, hummus yogurt) and the chicken basil wrap (grilled chicken, mixed leaves, feta and fresh basil). Both the wraps came neatly packed and were warm, when delivered. Fresh vegetables, herbs and leaves were neatly wrapped into a thin, almost-crepe like pockets. And the best part is that every dish lists the calorie count (barring the desserts); this makes calorie logging easy.

The dessert was made of yogurt, berries, banana, home made granola and honey.

Next up was pure detox, a salad that came with shredded kale, quinoa, grated carrots, pomegranate, flax and sesame seeds. The quantity was more than generous with a hearty platter of vegetables and greens, however we struggled to move past a few helpings. Even the olive oil, ginger and lime dressing didn’t help. In our opinion, it needed a little more acidity. But, the mushroom soup came to our rescue with its earthy flavours hidden in this creamy concoction. It was warm, flavourful and robust.

So, if you are one of those who prefers a healthy meal over that oil-soaked curry in your dabba, Suzette & Co is worth a try.
