From flaunting size zero to condemning being a stick, Kareena Kapoor’s fitness mantras has seen a a lot of change in the last few years. Nutrition expert Rujuta Diwekar, who plans Kareena’s diet according to her workouts, says, “Bebo’s fitness routine differs depending on her work schedule and travel plans. Other than that, she has to ensure that her fitness routine is stimulating and relaxing both physically and mentally.”

According to Rujuta, the key thing one needs to keep in mind while exercising is is to make sure that the workout is of the right intensity, and support it with adequate nutrition, hydration and sleep to make it effective.

Rujuta, who is also a sport science consultant, says a common pitfall to exercise is gym injuries, aches and pains and the only way to avoid it is by making sure that “you don’t get injured."

She adds, “Most gym workouts are caused because of incorrect exercise techniques. So invest in a good gym and a good trainer.”

The nutritionist says one cannot have generic training modules for everyone. According to her, “workout routines have to be personalised and techniques practised on a daily basis.”
