Snow White And the Huntsman

Synopsis: The ruthless Queen Ravenna plans to take over England. But she soon learns from her Magic Mirror that she will be overthrown by her stepdaughter Snow White, who will also surpass her as the Fairest of Them All. Ravenna and her loyal brother Finn are eager to see Snow White eliminated, but the only way for Ravenna to remain in power is to consume Snow White’s heart and achieve immortality.

When Snow White manages to escape into the Dark Forest, the Queen summons a Huntsman named Eric to kill the Princess. Eric however takes pity on his prey and teaches Snow White unique skills in the art of war. Now, with the aid of several dwarves and her childhood love Prince William, Snow White begins a powerful revolution to kill her stepmother.

Rowdy Rathore

Genre: Action-thriller

Cast: Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha

Synopsis: This film, directed by dance sensation Prabhu Deva, is a remake of the Telugu film Vikramarkudu. Billed as an action entertainer, the movie tells the story of a small time conman called Shiva (played by Akshay Kumar), who falls in love with Priya (played by Sonakshi Sinha), a pretty girl whom he met at a wedding he wasn’t invited to. All is going well till the time a six-year-old girl, Neha, mistakes Shiva to be her father, police officer Vikram Singh Rathore.

Soon, Shiva becomes the object of a series of life-threatening attacks by a gang of deadly criminals who seem to know something that he doesn’t. While trying desperately to save his life and love, Shiva finds out that Rathore was killed by a gang of criminals, Taking advantage of the situation, Shiva decides to take Rathore’s place and avenge the murderers.

Cabin In The Woods

Director: Drew Goddard

Genre: Horror

Cast: Kristen Connolly, Chris Hemsworth and Anna Hutchison

Synopsis: The film offers an inventive twist on the familiar stranded-in-the-woods sub-genre. As five friends hop into an RV bound for a secluded cabin far from civilization, the operators of a mysterious, high-tech control room monitor their moves while preparing a bloody ritual. The film was about to release in the week next to The Avengers’ release here, but was put on hold due to censorship issues.

Genre: Sci-fi

Cast: Eric Roberts, Kerem Bursin, Héctor Jiménez, Liv Boughn and Ralph Garman

Synopsis: The US Navy commissions a group called Blue Water to genetically engineer a half-shark, half-octopus for combat. During a demonstration off Santa Monica, the beast escapes and makes its way to Puerto Vallarta. Hunted by Blue Water and a TV crew, the monster attacks numerous beach-goers. Having released in the US in 2010, the film is having a limited-edition release only in North India.

Horrible Bosses

Director: Seth Gordon

Genre: Comedy

Cast: Jason Bateman, Jason Sudeikis, Jennifer Aniston, Colin Farrell, Kevin Spacey, Jamie Foxx

Synopsis: The dark comedy film is the story of three friends who conspire to murder their awful and overbearing bosses. Nick Hendricks works at a financial firm for emotionally abusive Dave Harken, who provides the possibility of a promotion to Nick, but finally awards the upgrade to himself. Dale Arbus is a dental assistant being sexually harassed by his boss, Dr. Julia Harris who threatens to put his impending marriage in danger.

Nick and Dale’s accountant friend, Kurt Buckman enjoys working for Jack Pellitt but after Jack dies, the company is taken over by his cocaine-addicted, amoral son.
