Recently, it was reported that Dorothy Stein, a massage therapist, who has clients such as Kanye West and Katy Perry, is being approached by celebs for ‘bite massages’. As part of this massage, Stein bites the backs of her A-list clients. She claims that it is a form of deep-tissue massage, and says that the method promotes blood circulation.

Here’s a look at some other bizarre beauty-related methods that Hollywood celebrities follow:
1. Kim Kardashian West

Kim Kardashian West made news when she opted for a facial, in which her blood was drawn and then injected back into her face to boost her skin’s renewal process.

2. Victoria Beckham

Victoria Beckham opts for ‘sheep placenta facial’, which promotes collagen production and improves skin elasticity.
3. Katie Holmes

Holmes is a big fan of snail facials. Snail extract is said to stimulate collagen. It also hydrates the skin to reduce wrinkles.
4. Gwyneth Paltrow

Apitherapy or ‘bee sting therapy’ is the go-to treatment for Gwyneth Paltrow. Apparently, it removes fine scars and helps the skin heal.
5. Demi Moore

Demi Moore undergoes ‘leech therapy’ to detoxify her blood. This therapy is clinically proven to improve blood circulation. Also, the saliva of leeches contains beneficial enzymes.

Model Alessandra Ambrosio uses ‘velaterapia’, a Brazilian hair treatment, in which split ends are burnt off with fire (usually a candle flame).
