Chris Pratt meets his daddy in new Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 trailer

A new trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 teases a reunion between Chris Pratt’s Star Lord and his estranged father, played by Kurt Russell.

A fresh trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 has been unveiled, offering the first glimpse at Kurt Russell as Peter Quill’s dad.

Guardians of the Galaxy will follow the adventures of Star Lord and gang after the events of the smash hit first movie.

During his appearance on the late night talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live, lead actor Chris Pratt debuted the latest trailer.

The trailer teases a reunion between Pratt’s Star Lord and his father, whom he hasn’t seen since he was a child.

“After all these years I’ve found you.”

“And who the hell are you?” Star-Lord asks.

“I’m your dad, Peter, “ Russell replies in a Darth Vader-esque moment.

The promotional video also offers a first look at the golden Ayesha, the villain who wants to cleanse the universe of fear, jealousy and betrayal.

The movie is scheduled for a May 5 release.
