Despicable Me 2 still atop the worldwide box office
The animated adventures of Gru and his minions still top the world box office with $100.25 million on Sunday, July 14, reports Rentrak. Out in 51 territories, Despicable Me 2 hits a total of $472.44 million.

The animated adventures of Gru and his minions still top the world box office with $100.25 million on Sunday, July 14, reports Rentrak. Out in 51 territories, Despicable Me 2 hits a total of $472.44 million.
A nice performance considering the first chapter had come to an end with $543.11 million three years ago.
Second is Pacific Rim, the new fantasy flick by Guillermo del Toro. This huge robots versus monstrous aliens battle movie has raked in $91.3 million.
As for the comedy Grown Ups 2 starring Adam Sandler, Chris Rock and Salma Hayek, it came in third with $44.2 million just before Monsters University and its $40.82 million.
