Expendables 3 actor arrested for assault, let off on bail

Victor Ortiz, ex-boxing champ who starred in Expendables 3, was arrested over the weekend for assault with a deadly weapon. The Southpaw star's foot was identified as the deadly weapon.

Boxer-turned-actor Victor Ortiz was arrested for an alleged assault with a deadly weapon during a performance by country singers Kenny Chesney And Jason Aldean in California.

The Expendables 3 star and his brother were at Pasadena's Rose Bowl for the country stars' massive gig, where they became embroiled in a verbal altercation with another concertgoer, reported TMZ. Law enforcement officials said that the war of words soon turned physical, with Ortiz, 28, allegedly kicking the unnamed man while he was on the ground.

Police subsequently arrested Ortiz and his brother for felony assault with a deadly weapon, as he used his foot to injure the man. The siblings were booked and later released on $30,000 bail. Ortiz has yet to comment on the incident.

The 28-year-old was previously a WBC Welterweight Champion and had lost his title to Floyd Mayweather in 2011.
