Starring Jason Segel (The Muppets, Bad Teacher) and Emily Blunt (The Adjustment Bureau, Salmon Fishing in the Yemen), the story follows a couple’s obstacles to getting married and their dragged-out engagement.

Inspired by classic comedies such as When Harry Met Sally and Annie Hall, which also take place over a passage of time, the footage depicts one delay when Blunt’s character seeks an education in Michigan with its freezing winters, putting a damper on the couple’s sex life.

From the producer of Bridesmaids, Judd Apatow, and costarring Rhys Ifans (Harry Potter), it is co-written by Jason Segel and the director, Nicholas Stoller (Get Him to the Greek), who worked together on Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

The Five-Year Engagement opens this weekend in North America, followed by Australia on May 3, the UK and Russia in June, rolling out in Germany and European markets, Singapore and Scandinavian countries in July, with France and Argentina in August.
