Two time Oscar-winning actress Hilary Swank has suffered another blow to her career with her latest film, The Resident declared a flop.

The Million Dollar Baby star's 2009 Amelia Earhart bio-pic Amelia, grossed just over USD 19 million worldwide, less than half its USD 40 million production budget.

Meanwhile, her film Conviction released last year about a woman's fight to free her brother from prison, won the 36-year-old actress a nomination at the upcoming Screen Actors Guild awards but was given a limited release in the US and has garnered less than USD 7 million.
