Actor Jason Statham has denied reports that he will replace actor Shia LaBeouf in the upcoming Transformers films.
After LaBeouf said on several occasions that he will not return for the next Transformers movies, rumors ran wild that Statham was to replace him. However, the 44-year-old actor, whose girlfriend Rosie Huntington-Whiteley replaced Megan Fox in Transformers: Dark of the Moon, has slammed the speculations. “I don’t know how those things start. You read them. Someone told me about it. [But] the internet is a dangerous place. There’s a lot of stuff out there,” he said.
Though, denying his involvement in the next Transformers films, Statham praised director Michael Bay. “Michael is a talented man. The last movie made a billion dollars around the world ... He’s a talented man,” he said.
Transformers star Shia LaBeouf (has been cast in Gil Kenan’s upcoming romantic movie as a 20-foot-tall giant who has a quirky relationship with his neighbour’s sister. Having starred opposite gigantic robots in the Transformers film franchise, the 25-year-old will now be a giant itself in his upcoming movie, reported Ace Showbiz.
The film tells the story of a girl who runs away from a series of bad relationships and moves back with her brother. She then gets entangled in a quirky love story with a gigantic man, played by LaBeouf.
LaBeouf has also wrapped the production of a crime drama, The Wettest County in the World, which also stars Tom Hardy. He is currently filming Robert Redford’s forthcoming political film, The Company You Keep.
