Jennifer Lawrence still lives in fear of her nude images being leaked
Jennifer Lawrence is still shaken up about the leak of her private images in 2014. “When my publicist calls me, I’m like, ‘Oh, my God, what is it?’ Even when it’s nothing. I’m always waiting to get blindsided again.”hollywood Updated: Aug 10, 2017 17:26 IST
In celebration of its 125th anniversary, the latest issue of Vogue will feature an exclusive interview with Jennifer Lawrence. The magazine commission four artists - Bruce Weber, Annie Leibovitz, Inez and Vinoodh - to create the star’s look, which ranged from lavish photoshoots to a fine art painting.
In the interview, Lawrence, who will next be seen in Darren Aronofsky’s psychological thriller, Mother!, made a reference to the leak of her private photos in 2014.
At the peak of her career, Jennifer Lawrence talks love, liberty and the freedom to be herself. https://t.co/jYnDUjFO82— Vogue Magazine (@voguemagazine) August 10, 2017
“It’s scary when you feel the whole world judges you,” she says. “I think people saw (the hacking) for what it was, which was a sex crime, but that feeling, I haven’t been able to get rid of it. Having your privacy violated constantly isn’t a problem if you’re perfect. But if you’re human, it’s terrifying. When my publicist calls me, I’m like, ‘Oh, my God, what is it?’ Even when it’s nothing. I’m always waiting to get blindsided again.”
For our September issue, we commissioned artist John Currin to create a portrait of #JenniferLawrence for one of her four covers. Lawrence was part of a large-scale attack on the iCloud accounts of celebrities, after which almost 500 private pictures were circulated online. In March 2016, 36-year-old Pennsylvania resident Ryan Collins agreed to plead guilty to one count of unauthorised access to a protected computer to obtain information resulting in a 18-month sentence.
