Johnny Depp to star in Transcendence
Actor and producer Johnny Depp will lead the cast of Wally Pfister's directorial debut, according to Alcon Entertainment. Johnny Depp is currently negotiating his contract to headline Transcendence, directed by Inception's Oscar-winning cinematographer, Wally Pfister, who will adapt Jack Paglen's original screenplay.

Actor and producer Johnny Depp will lead the cast of Wally Pfister's directorial debut, according to Alcon Entertainment. Johnny Depp is currently negotiating his contract to headline Transcendence, directed by Inception's Oscar-winning cinematographer, Wally Pfister, who will adapt Jack Paglen's original screenplay.
Christopher Nolan will give him a hand as he will produce this feature film. Pfister and Nolan have worked together since Memento, released in 2000. Their most recent collaboration was The Dark Knight Rises, the third installment of Nolan's take on the Batman franchise.
Shooting of Transcendence will start early 2013, and the film will be distributed by Warner Bros.
