Lego Batman Movie hires the last person you’d expect: Mariah Carey

Mariah Carey has been cast as the voice of the Gotham City mayor in the upcoming Lego Batman movie starring Will Arnett, Michael Cera, Zach Galifianakis and Ralph Fiennes.

Singer Mariah Carey has joined the voice cast of the upcoming The Lego Batman Movie as the mayor of Gotham City.

The 45-year-old star will voice the mayor of Gotham City in the upcoming comedy movie, reported Aceshowbiz.

The All I want For Christmas Is You hitmaker was last seen on the big screen in 2013’s Lee Daniels’ The Butler.

Before that, she also collaborated with Daniels in 2009’s Precious based on the Novel Push by Sapphire.

Besides Carey, there are Ralph Fiennes, who will voice Alfred, Rosario Dawson, lending her voice for Batgirl, Michael Cera, to voice Robin, and Zach Galifianakis, for Joker.

Will Arnett, who voiced Batman in The Lego Movie, will return to voice the Dark Knight.

Chris McKay, the animation supervisor of Lego Movie, is directing the project with a script written by Seth Grahame-Smith.

The film is scheduled to be released in the US on February 10, 2017.
