The Brokeback Mountain star admitted that she missed out on having a normal childhood as she left her family home at the age of 15 and moved to Los Angeles to find fame.

The 32-year-old actress, who got a big break in Tv show Dawson's Creek a year later, wishes she had been more studious, Contactmusic reported.

During an interview with David Letterman, Williams revealed that she obtained her school certificate through a print advertisement and she's not even sure weather it's authentic or not.

The actress asserted that she would love to swap the film set for the classroom, but she is convinced she would fail the entrance exams because she's already having trouble with her six-year-old Matilda's school work.
