Online backlash over Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor
The Social Network (pun intended) erupted in anger after it was announced that Jesse Eisenberg will be playing Lex Luthor in the sequel to Man of Steel.

Actor Jessie Eisenberg, known for playing Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook founder) in the film, The Social Network, has been on the receiving end off late.
After the makers of the upcoming sequel of the film Man of Steel, confirmed that Jessie will be playing Lex Luthor, Superman’s nemesis, social networking sites were left twittering in frenzy with fans bashing the decision.
“@marcusprolifik: I’m trying my best to be optimistic and shit, but Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor? I JUST CANT SEE IT,” wrote one user while another wisecracked, “@jingolfs85: Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor. At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if they cast Justin Bieber as Robin (SIC).”
