The organisation is claiming responsibility for the hack attack which led to the leak of unreleased Sony films and information about top stars, and officials insist there may be more leaks to come, reports contactmusic.com.

A message from the group reads: “Stop immediately showing the movie of terrorism which can break the regional peace and cause the War!”

The Interview follows the fortunes of two American journalists hired by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) to assassinate North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

The film is scheduled to release on Christmas.
