Rogue Nation's Rebecca Ferguson, Lea Seydoux up for Gambit?

Bond-girl Lea Seydoux and Mission Impossible's Rebecca Ferguson are being considered to star opposite Channing Tatum in X-Men spinoff Gambit.

It's Bond vs. Mission Impossible as Spectre star Lea Seydoux and Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation actor Rebecca Ferguson have made the shortlist for the female lead in X-Men spinoff Gambit opposite Channing Tatum.

Gambit director Rupert Wyatt is also apparently considering Mad Max: Fury Road's Abbey Lee, according to Deadline.

All are being courted for the role of Bella Donna Boudreaux, Gambit's love interest.

Bella has mutant powers herself and eventually ends up joining the Assassins Guild while Gambit is a member of the rival Thieves Guild.

Although Channing Tatum has signed up to his own Gambit film, the finer details of possible appearances in other films in the X-Men universe are still unclear.

Gambit is set for release on October 7, 2016.
