The Wolf of Wall Street does not promote crime: Leonardo DiCaprio

The actor feels that some people may misunderstand the film's plot, and so he has clarified that the film is against criminal behaviour.

Actor Leonardo DiCaprio, who plays a stockbroker convicted of fraud in The Wolf of Wall Street, says that the film does not promote crime.

The actor feels that some people may misunderstand the film's plot, and so he has clarified that the film is against criminal behaviour.

"This film may be misunderstood by some. I hope people understand we’re not condoning this behavior, we’re indicting it," variety.com quoted DiCaprio as saying.

The movie revolves around the real life story of Jordan Belfort, highlighting his uprise from being a penny stockbroker to being one of the celebrated entrepreneurs of modern times.
