Almost twenty years after Ed Wood (1994), Big Eyes will herald Tim Burton's return to the biopic. He will again be working with screenwriters Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski, who were responsible for the black and white film.
Amy Adams and Christoph Waltz will play Margaret and Walter Keane. The story will focus on the painter's legal struggle to recover the rights to her work -- depicting large-eyed waifs -- from her exploitative ex-husband.
Burton is expected to start filming this summer.
