Timberlake joins Clint Eastwood's Trouble With the Curve
Justin Timberlake (The Social Network) has landed a role in Clint Eastwood's baseball drama, Trouble With the Curve, according to Deadline Hollywood. Amy Adams (The Fighter) also stars in the film.
The film will mark Eastwood's first acting role since 2008?s Gran Torino and the directorial debut of his producer Robert Lorenz.The story follows an aging baseball scout on a trip with his daughter to find the sport's next star player. Timberlake will play a rival scout and the daughter's possible love interest.
In 2011, Timberlake appeared in the comedy Bad Teacher with Cameron Diaz, the romantic comedy Friends with Benefits with Mila Kunis, and sci-fi thriller In Time with Amanda Seyfried.
The actor/singer is set to star in the Coen brothers' next film, Inside Llewyn Davis, the story of a singer-songwriter in New York's 1960s folk music scene, with Carey Mulligan (Shame) and Garrett Hedlund (Tron: Legacy).
Trouble with the Curve is scheduled for release September 28.
