The trailer (a prequel to the movies) begins by telling the audience of how the minions have been living on the earth long before the humans. They are in a constant search for the 'baddest, meanest and the most despicable' master, whom they can serve. But owing to their foolishness, the master doesn't really stick for long.

When all attempts at finding the perfect master seem to fail, three minion heroes embark on a journey to find the one true villain they all can work for.

These adorable little guys were first seen in Despicable Me (2010) and again in Despicable Me 2 (2013). They instantly grew as a craze among kids and adults alike.

The film is scheduled to release in 2015.
