Delhi University’s Ram Lal Anand College saw the campus turn into a spiritual singalong, as musician Akhil Sachdeva took the stage at the annual fest, Splendour’26 on Wednesday. Opening with O Saajana, he quickly pulled students into the groove, moving through Kesariya, Saiyaara, O Sanam, and Channa Ve. The evening came to a brief halt when water accidentally spilt onto the console. But soon enough, Akhil returned to loud cheers, slipping right back into rhythm, keeping energy high as if nothing had happened.

The loudest cheers came when he invited two students to jam live on stage. “It was a divine experience. This opportunity strengthened my confidence,” said Satyam Bhardwaj, a second-year student. Final-year student Kartikey Bhatt added, “Being on stage with him felt surreal. The way the audience responded filled me with so much happiness.”

In a striking shift, Akhil removed his shoes before singing the Hanuman Chalisa, turning the high-energy concert into a moment of quiet reverence, earning much applause.
