Delhi on Friday witnessed another drop in its daily Covid tally after 620 fresh cases were reported as opposed to 702 on Thursday, bringing the active cases to 3,206. Two fresh fatalities were reported in the last 24 hours and the national capital's case positivity rate dipped to 3.74 per cent from yesterday's 4.49 per cent.

More than 5,100 trees will be felled in Delhi during the construction of the six-lane Delhi-Saharanpur highway by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), according to official documents.

“On the basis of CCTV footage, it was seen that alleged Sudhir Sangwan & his associate Sukhwinder Singh were partying with the deceased at a club. A video establishes that one of them forcefully made the victim consume a substance,” Inspector General of Police (IGP) Omvir Singh Bishnoi told  the media.

“When confronted, Sukhwinder & Sudhir confessed that they intentionally mixed an obnoxious chemical into a liquid and made the victim drink it,” he added.
