In a goodwill gesture, a 50-year-old Pakistani national was sent back to his home country on Monday, a day after he inadvertantly crossed over to the Indian territory in Punjab.

“On Februray 26, BSF troops of Border Out Post Kassowal, Gurdaspur Sector apprehended one Pak National namely Sabir Hussain, son of Fazal Hussain, resident of Narowal (Pakistan) while he inadvertently crossed International Boundary and entered inside the Indian territory and reached near Border Security Fence,” a BSF official said here.
He said the Pakistan Rangers were contacted on Monday and Sabir was handed over to them on humanitarian grounds.
