Couple beaten up for opposing harassment, Punjab SC panel sends notice to cop

The couple were beaten up in their home by miscreants for allegedly opposing the teasing of their daughter

Taking cognisance of a couple being beaten up for opposing the harassing of their daughter in Mansa district, the Punjab State Scheduled Castes Commission has issued a notice to the SSP asking him to submit a probe report within 15 days.

“The incident in Manssa district is against humanity. The panel has taken cognisance of the incident and has asked the Senior Superintendent of Police to submit a probe report within 15 days,” chairman of the state SC panel Rajesh Bagha said.

He said no case has been registered following the incident and alleged that the police are trying to suppress the case.

A few days back, the couple were beaten up in their home by miscreants for allegedly opposing the teasing of their daughter.

Following this the girl’s father was admitted to Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research in Chandigarh in an injured state.
