The constable was reportedly dragged for 10 meters before colliding with another vehicle. The police have seized the car and the driver is currently absconding.

A CCTV camera recorded the moments leading up to a speeding car dragging the 30-year-old police constable along the road in .

The footage, taken at 2:16 am today, shows the speeding car close behind constable Sandeep's bike, who later succumbed to head injuries.

On duty to investigate a surge in thefts in the area, Sandeep was riding his bike in plain clothes when a speeding WagonR attempted to overtake him.

The driver was driving recklessly, prompting Sandeep to request that he slow down. Suddenly, the car accelerated and struck Sandeep's bike from behind, dragging both him and the motorcycle for about 10 meters.

Police said that the car had two occupants, who fled the scene after the incident. The vehicle has been seized, and police are actively searching for the suspects. A murder case has been filed in connection with the incident.

Delhi Police have confirmed that the constable is survived by his mother, wife, and a five-year-old son.

Quoting senior police officer Jimmy Chiram, NDTV reported that Sandeep was on patrol duty when a WagonR attempted to overtake him at high speed.

After a possible verbal exchange, the driver accelerated, struck Sandeep's bike from behind, and dragged him for about 10 metres before colliding with another vehicle, the report added.

This incident adds to the growing number of road rage cases in the Delhi-NCR region, which have seen a troubling increase in recent years. Conflicts arising from minor traffic accidents have resulted in serious injuries and fatalities.

Last month, a 32-year-old auto-rickshaw driver was brutally attacked after his vehicle made contact with a car in Faridabad, leading to his death.
