Demonetisation: Elderly man dies while standing in bank queue in Rajasthan

An elderly man, who was standing in a queue outside a bank to exchange defunct currency notes, died on Saturday in Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan, police said.

An elderly man, who was standing in a queue outside a bank to exchange defunct currency notes, died on Saturday in Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan, police said.

“Ratna Ram, 75, was in the line outside State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur (SBBJ) bank to exchange notes in Pilani.

“He collapsed in the line and was rushed to a hospital where doctor declared him dead on arrival,” police said.

The body has been shifted to the mortuary for postmortem.
