DMK chief M Karunanidhi hospitalised

The 93-year-old leader will be discharged from the hospital later in the day.

DMK president M Karunanidhi was on Wednesday admitted to a hospital to undergo a minor procedure, an official said.

The 93-year-old leader “has been admitted for a minor procedure - change of PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastronomy) tube. He will be discharged from the hospital later today,” Kauvery Hospital executive director S Aravindan said in a statement.

The veteran leader has been ailing since last year and was been treated at his Gopalapuram residence in Chennai.
