Jacqueline Fernandez says she has crucial info, records statement in Sukesh case
Jacqueline Fernandez informed the police that she wanted to share some important information regarding the Sukesh Chandrashekhar case.
Bollywood actor Jacqueline Fernandez on Saturday recorded a statement in connection with the ₹200 crore money laundering case involving conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar with whom the actor was believed to be in a relationship. Jacqueline informed the police that she wanted to give some important information regarding the case, following which the Economic Offences Wing of the Delhi Police recorded her statement.

A Delhi court is hearing the money laundering case and the next hearing will be held on December 12. Jacqueline's recording of a statement in between indicates that she might have disclosed something major related to the case. It is not yet known what she said in her statement on Saturday.
On November 15, Jacqueline was granted bail on a personal bond of ₹2 lakh. The court while granting bail to the actor said that it is yet to be examined whether the expensive gifts she is believed to have received from Sukesh Chandrasekar were out of the proceeds of crime. Jacqueline is entitled to relief as she was not arrested during the investigation, the court observed.
"However, without expressing much on the merits of the matter which of course would be decided during the trial, it is yet to be examined if there was knowledge, intention or connection of accused in taking those gifts and of proceeds of crime, in this case," the court said.
The Enforcement Directorate told the court that Jacqueline made an attempt to flee India but was foiled as there was a lookout circular against her.
