Karunanidhi’s health highlights: DMK chief recovering steadily, fever coming down, says Stalin
DMK president and former Tamil Nadu chief minister M Karunanidhi has been under constant medical care after his health began failing due to a urinary tract infection. Crowds started gathering outside the 94-year-old DMK leader’s residence on Thursday night, with police putting up barricades by Friday morning to manage the rush.Karunanidhi sons Stalin and Azhagiri visited him overnight and crowds gathered outside his Gopalapuram residence. In a statement released on Thursday, Kauvery Hospital’s executive director Aravindan Selvaraj said there has been a slight decline in Karunanidhi’s health due to age-related ailments.The leader was recently admitted to Kauvery Hospital for change of the tracheostomy tube.
