Dilkhush Kumar, the brickkiln worker from Bihar’s Purnia, was killed last week amid a series of targeted killings in Kashmir. A fellow worker was injured in the attack.
Police said that Mohammed Yousuf Mir, the owner, allegedly endangered the lives and safety of labourers working at the brickkiln. “Accordingly, a case ...has been registered against him...and investigation has been taken up,” the police said in a statement.
The statement added that brickkiln owners and managers are again advised to strictly follow the guidelines issued to ensure the safety of the labourers working there. “In case of non-compliance or any negligence, strict action is warranted under law,” the statement said.
