In recent parliamentary elections, the MVA performed strongly, winning 30 of 48 seats, while the BJP's representation fell to 9 seats from 23. In the 2019 assembly elections, the BJP had secured 105 seats, with the Congress at 44. This election is crucial for both coalitions as they aim to consolidate their positions in the state.
