Nepal PM Prachanda arrives in Delhi for a three-day visit to India

Nepal Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ arrived in New Delhi on Thursday for a three-day state visit to India.

External affairs minister Sushma Swaraj received him at the airport, ministry spokesperson Vikas Swarup tweeted.

Prachanda, elected the Prime Minister on August 4, has come to India on the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He is accompanied by his wife Sita Dahal.

The couple will stay at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Prachanda is to meet Modi on Friday. He will also call on President Pranab Mukherjee and union ministers.
